THOMAS R. BLUNT, farmer, Sec. 36; P. O. Kilbourne; was born in what is now Bath Township, this county, June 22, 1838. His father, Thomas F. Blunt, who was born on Kent Island, Md., July 14, 1800, emigrated to the West as early as 1831, and first settled in the State Missouri.  The family came to Mason Co., Ill., in 1833, and located near the present residence of Thomas R., with whom his father now resides. His mother, Sinai F. (Alderson) Blunt, was born in Kentucky Nov. 9, 1795; her death occurred Oct. 2, 1864. The subject of this sketch was married, Dec. 23, 1858, to Miss Jane Parks, who was born in Scott Co., III., June 24, 1837. Six children by this union, three of whom are living:  Alice M. M., Lena R. and; Delta M. died.
